Let the Packing begin

37 days, 36 days, 35 days… It’s getting closer! It will be here before I know it!

This is the time to start getting an idea of what you want to pack. (Keeping in mind that YOU have to carry ALL your luggage by yourself!!) I have already packed the winter clothes I want to take with me. I would suggest to lay out everything you want to take, and then put half of it back, and yes believe I know that sounds hard, but every exchange student I’ve talked to has told me that they over packed. Also while packing you need to be aware of the weight of your bag. Most airlines have a set baggage weight, and if you exceed it, it cost A LOT!

Make a packing list and STICK TO IT! It will help with last minute packing impulses.

One last thing, when you’re packing remember where you are going! Research the climate and pack clothes that are apporite for that climate.

Interviews Begin

This morning I was interviewed by a local radio station about my trip. I was really nervous, but it was actually really fun!

It's Happening

I can remember last November when I was just applying for an exchange program, and now I'm about to leave for my exchange😁
This is not just a vacation, there is some work that comes along with it! During outbound training we worked almost all day, going over the rules, what to do at the airport, and we practiced our presentations.
Now I'm practicing Italian as much as I can! Yesterday I met someone from Italy and we carried on a conversation! (I recommend practicing as much as you can! Put sticky notes up labeling things in your house, listen to it before you go to bed, read it, whatever you can do to become more familiar with it.)
Through the Rotary I have met so many amazing people Jack, Mary, Vicki, Rosemary, Nick, Harry and so many more! I can't even begin to thank them enough! I know I wouldn't have made it this far without them! Thank you guys!

Well Italy I'll see you soon ❤️
